DELRAY BEACH, FL ( (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Several thousand AT&T internet customers in Southwestern Palm Beach County are without service this evening, according to multiple reports to and a check of various outage reporting systems.

AT&T estimates repairs will not be complete until roughly 10 p.m.

The outage is affecting homes in the area of Lyons Road and Clint Moore Road, extending east and west. It was not immediately clear what caused the outage.

The service problem is the latest to affect the area. AT&T has sustained at least four mass outages in the same area over the past several months. At least three were attributed to constructions crews cutting fiber optic cables on Lyons Road, where construction continues.

A Palm Beach County official told after one incident that the equipment operator responsible for the cable cut would be assigned to a new position.
