BREAKING: Car Crash, Vehicle Lands On Transformer In Vizcaya

DELRAY BEACH, FL ( (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Palm Beach County Fire Rescue at 11:50 a.m. is working a car fire where a car apparently crashed into a transformer and exploded in the area of 7172 Cataluna Circle in the development of Vizcaya.

There are fortunately no injuries.

Emergency radio traffic monitored by indicates a Jeep Grand Cherokee landed on top of the transformer and apparently caught fire. (UPDATE: The fire is out as of 11:52 a.m.)

It was not immediately clear what caused the driver of the vehicle to crash into the transformer. FPL is en route to the scene. A caller to 911 apparently reported an explosion, however, rescuers suggested that may not have been entirely accurate as they provided information to dispatchers.
