BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Never mind that most animal rights experts and psychologists will tell you that acquiring a pet over the holidays is a bad idea — often leading to pet abandonment after holiday excitement wears off — Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control announced today that it is offering free pet adoptions.
From ACC:
“It’s that time of the year when friends and family gather to celebrate the holiday season. Many families will have their beloved pets with them, enjoying tidbits from the dinner tables and receiving gifts from Santa on Christmas Day. These are lucky pets!
Sadly, many pets at the Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control (ACC) shelter will not have a family to enjoy the holidays with. As a way to help some of our resident cats and dogs find loving homes this holiday season, ACC is offering free pet adoptions through the end of 2021. Please think about bringing a new pet home and give them the ultimate Christmas gift! The gift of a new home and a new life!
