UPDATE: 12:55 PM — We received a full update on the crash following our initial article today concerning Saturday’s fatal boat crash in Highland Beach.

HIGHLAND BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission spokesperson on Tuesday provided the following details of Saturday’s fatal boat crash in Highland Beach. BocaNewsNow.com was first to report on the crash, as rescuers responded, Saturday afternoon.

According to FWC: “On January 15, 2022, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) was notified of a boating accident involving a 25’ center console vessel that was headed northbound on the intracoastal waterway (ICW) in Highland Beach. The vessel was carrying three occupants when it encountered a wake and lost control, hitting a dock near 3310 Ocean Drive. The operator, Mr. Richard Patrick Mineo (DOB 04/31/1958), was pronounced deceased on scene while two juveniles were transported to Delray Medical Center. This is an active investigation.”
