DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach man was killed early Monday morning in a vehicle versus pedestrian crash.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says Shilet Belabre, 39, was walking northbound on Seacrest Boulevard around 6:13 this morning while wearing “dark, non-reflective clothing.”

Joseph Datus of Boynton Beach, driving a Chevy Express van, struck Belabre. Belabre was “redirected under the front of the van,” reports PBSO. “He was transported to Delray Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.”

No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation continues.
