While we are awaiting official word from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, emergency radio traffic monitored by BocaNewsNow.com indicated two people were killed in the crash at Atlantic and 441/SR7 around 11:20 p.m. Thursday. Two Trauma Hawk helicopters were called to the scene and multiple ground units were also dispatched. The accident required significant extrication efforts due to the heavy damage to the vehicles involved.

This is the second fatal crash on 441 near Atlantic in just two days. A crash on 441 near Pero Farms left one man dead after police say he drove under a tractor-trailer that was exiting Pero Farms onto 441. In that crash, police said that the victim was not paying attention to the tractor-trailer.
