BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The hotel formerly known as The Boca Resort, but now known by the pretentious name of “The Boca Raton,” was just cited by Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation. At issue: whether the balconies at the hotel are safe.
The resort at 501 East Camino Real couldn’t provide a certificate of balcony inspection when an inspector from Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation reviewed the property for safety and health issues on February 9th. The inspector did NOT order the hotel to be closed.
But the lack of proof that the balconies on the hotel are safe may give pause to guests and members utilizing the property that dates back to 1926.
The official language: “High priority — no certificate of Balcony Inspection available. Follow-up inspection required.”
The former Boca Resort became “The Boca Raton” several months ago and remains in the midst of a massive renovation as the new owners attempt to reenergize the aging property.
