BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — With COVID numbers continuing to decline across the region, Palm Beach County is closing several testing sites due to a lack of interest and a reallocation of federal funding.

According to PBC officials, sites in Palm Beach County; FAU Tech Runway, Caloosa Park, Gaines Park, Gardens Branch – PBC Libraries, Mid County Senior Center and the South County Civic Center have closed. In addition, the FDOH Lake Worth Health Center on Southwinds Drive has also closed.

“Palm Beach County would like to remind the public that there are many options available for residents to get testing. Besides the many locations found on our websitewww.pbcgov.com, most commercial pharmacies and physician’s offices are able to do COVID testing for little or no cost,” wrote officials. “In addition to providing testing, many of these locations also offer vaccines. Please do not go to Palm Beach County hospital emergency rooms for COVID testing.”
