DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Burger King at 5080 Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach is on fire. And we don’t mean the sort of fire used to give their burgers that ”flame-broiled” taste.

The fire was called in around 7:35 p.m. Tuesday. First responding firefighters noticed a “haze” as they arrived on location. An investigation found a grease fire inside contained to one area.

It’s not immediately clear how much damage the fire caused. Expect the restaurant to be closed until damage is fixed and Palm Beach County determines it’s safe to reopen.

The restaurant location is near the intersection of West Atlantic and South Military Trail.
