Part Of Palm Beach International Airport Shut Down


Inbound Roadways Closed.



UPDATE: 5:05 p.m. — The scene has been cleared. Officials at PBIA are asking for passengers and those using the airport to be “patient” as it may take quite some time for operations to return to normal. Expect traffic and flight issues into the evening.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL ( (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Part of the Palm Beach International Airport is closed as PBSO investigates a suspicious piece of luggage. The closure was initiated at 3:30p.

The concern is great enough that part of the terminal has been evacuates and all inbound vehicle traffic has been stopped. It’s unclear if inbound flights are being diverted.

We will update when we learn more. Check with your airline or the PBIA website before heading to the airport.

These situations are often resolved quickly but can still create hours of travel delays.
