BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The man struck and killed by a tractor-trailer in West Boca Raton on March 24th is now being identified as Reynald French. Police first released details of the crash on Saturday.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, French, 54, of Westbury G in Century Village in Deerfield Beach, was walking southbound on State Road 7 when he walked off the sidewalk and in front of a truck turning into a development at Twin Meadow Lakes Drive.

Stephen Reece was driving a Freightliner and, according to an initial report from PBSO, was neither cited nor charged. He could not have expected French to walk into the side of his truck.

“French walked off the sidewalk and walked into the passenger side of trailer (of the truck),” wrote investgators. “French fell to the ground and was run over by the right real trailer tires”

French was transported to Delray Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
