BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A four-year-old boy nearly drowned at a swimming pool in Boca Raton on Monday, according to sources familiar with the incident.

The boy fell into a pool in the Village Del Mar community just after 4 p.m. — that’s north of Palmetto Park Road and just east of the Turnpike.

An adult was close by and pulled the child out quickly, but the boy was not breathing for a short period of time. By the time rescuers arrived, however, sources tell us the boy was breathing and seemed to be fine.

The child was transported to an area hospital for observation.
