BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Falls resident Tracy Scherr is starting Thursday in the Palm Beach County Jail following her arrest late Wednesday night for battery after she allegedly attacked her husband.
According to a police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, Scherr, 58, of Fall River Drive, claimed that her husband was cheating, “maxing out their credit cards and paying other women online.” Also from the report, “Tracey (claimed) that her husband threw a cup at her and grabbed her arm.” However, the Deputy wrote that he “did not observe any fresh mark or bruises on her body.”
The police report adds this version of events from Tracey Scherr’s husband who was not arrested: “His wife Tracey just had an argument with him that led into a physical altercation. The husband said that he was watching TV in the study room when Tracey entered the room and started to argue with him about a credit card bill she had received. The husband advised that he tried to calmly talk to Tracey about the bill, but Tracey wouldn’t calm down. The husband told me that he didn’t want things with his wife to escalate any further so he proceeded to leave the room and locked himself in the bathroom.”
Continues the report: “The husband said that a short time later he exited the bathroom but Tracey was still standing in front of the door shouting at him. The husband advised that he proceeded to then go into his bedroom where Tracey who was still following him approached him in an aggressive manner and began to slap him in his head with her hands multiple times. The husband said he defended himself by pushing her away so he could leave the room and call the police.”
Tracey Sherr was arrested around 9:40 p.m. She was booked into jail at 12:20 a.m.
Bond had not been set as of 5:30 a.m. The official charge is recorded as ”battery, touch or strike.” Her first appearance is set for later Thursday.
