Water Rescue At Kings Point After Man Falls In Lake

Delray Beach Florida Palm Beach County

DELRAY BEACH, FL ( (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man golfing at Kings Point Thursday morning apparently fell, hit his head, and ended up in a lake. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue rushed to the scene for what is described as an “open water rescue.”

It was not immediately clear exactly how the man ended up in what’s described as a ”small body of water,” but sources say it is best described as a series of unfortunate events. The man apparently lost his balance while golfing. He fell. He hit his head on something — possibly a rock. He then rolled into the water.

Rescuers had him out of the water within minutes of arriving on the scene near the Preston building.

The man was rushed to Delray Medical Center as a ”trauma alert” and is currently being treated for what are described as serious injuries.
