COCONUT CREEK, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A car crashed into a pole on I-95 – in the area of Atlantic Boulevard — around 1:30 p.m. today. I-95 northbound is now closed.

Florida Highway Patrol tells BocaNewsNow.com that two people are dead.

“The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames after the collision happened,” said an FHP official. ”Both parties are confirmed dead by Fire Rescue.”

Expect I-95 to be closed northbound for the next several hours. The road was first closed at 1:26 p.m. Traffic is being diverted onto Cypress Creek Road.
