DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Roughly a year after it was ordered shut by a State of Florida health inspector, Vic and Angelo’s at 290 East Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach was ordered shut again.

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation says that the May 18th inspection yieled 3 high priroity, 3 intermediate, and 1 basic violation. Per BocaNewsNow.com policy, we are publushing the violations as they appear on the official record with little to no editing:

High Priority – Live, small flying insects in kitchen, food preparation area, food storage area and/or bar area. Observed approximately 5 live small flying insects hovering above pizza line not landing. Observed 3 live small flying insects landing on stacked pizza trays containing dough. Observed 3 live small flying insects landing on paper towels at hand wash sink at pizza area. Observed approximately 3 live small flying insects on main cook line not landing. Observed approximately 3 live small flying insects hovering in ware washing area. Observed approximately 12 live small flying insects landing on wall outside of restrooms directly across from ware washing area Observed approximately 5 small flying insects at bar area not landing **Warning**

High Priority – Stop Sale issued due to food not being in a wholesome, sound condition. 1 dead fly observed on 1 pizza dough. See Stop Sale **Warning**

High Priority – Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. blue cheese stuffed olives (58°F – Cold Holding) being held at bar area at room temperature. Bar tender states item has been out for approximately 1 hour. Bar tender placed back in reach in cooler. **Corrective Action Taken** **Warning**

Intermediate – Food-contact surface soiled with food debris, mold-like substance or slime. Soda gun soiled at bar **Warning**

Intermediate – Menu contains an item made with a raw/undercooked animal food as an ingredient and description of item does not inform consumer of raw/undercooked animal food ingredient. Establishment serves Caesar salad using raw shell egg. Menu does not identify item as containing a raw ingredient **Warning**

Intermediate – No currently certified food service manager on duty with four or more employees engaged in food preparation/handling. Vic and Angelo’s was reinspected the following day. No violations were found. The restaurant was permitted to reopen.
