BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — West Delray Beach resident Daniel Kandler is back in the Palm Beach County Jail as the case against him for multiple counts of patient brokering continues. Kandler was first charged — and arrested — while he lived in Boca Raton’s upscale ”The Oaks.” He moved after being released on his own recognizance to the new community of ”Dakota.”
Kandler is accused of being the mastermind of a huge patient brokering operation that allegedly pushed area sober homes to use Kandler’s company — Impact Q Testing — for urine test of patients. Kandler allegedly paid fees to several associates who arranged for the urine tests to be sent to Impact Q, also known as IQ, in Delray Beach.
Following a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigation, Kandler was arrested in 2018. He was ultimately released from jail on his own recognizance. But as the case continues, Kandler was just arrested again, although it was not immediately clear why.
Jail records show that Kandler re-entered the jail system on Thursday night, and remains held without bond Sunday morning. The charge is simply listed as ”recommit.”
The original arrest report — which explains the alleged operation in the eyes of law enforcement — is below.
