BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An emergency road closure is creating huge traffic problems for motorists in Delray Beach and Boynton Beach. The intersection of Boynton Beach Blvd. and Lawrence Road is closed, and traffic is being diverted to several feeder roads.

From Palm Beach County:

The intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard (SR 804) and Lawrence Road has been closed today for an emergency sanitary sewer repair and is expected to re-open on Sunday, July 3, 2022. Boynton Beach Boulevard will be closed between S. Military Trial and N. Congress Avenue. East and west bound traffic will be detoured to Old Boynton Road or Woolbright Road via N. Congress Avenue and S. Military Trail. Local traffic on Boynton Beach Boulevard will have access between Military Trail and Pear Tree Circle/N. Limetree Boulevard. Local traffic will also have access between Lawrence Road and  N. Congress Avenue.

Lawrence Road will be closed between Old Boynton Road and Woolbright Road. Traffic will be detoured to S. Military Trail or N. Congress Avenue via Old Boynton Road and Woolbright Road. Local traffic will have access to Lawrence Road south of Boynton Beach Boulevard between Woolbright Road and Green Trail Drive North.  Local traffic will have access north of Boynton Beach Boulevard between Viburnum Tree Drive/Kamena Court and Old Boynton Road.
