Expect major delays Monday morning after a body was found on the road near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and I-95 in Delray Beach.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Atlantic Avenue eastbound is closed in the area of I-95 after a dead man was found on the road in the area of the intersection.

Delray Beach Police confirm to BocaNewsNow.com that eastbound Atlantic Avenue, on the approach to I-95, is now closed. Investigations involving death — especially when it’s a body on a road — can often last for several hours. Expect delays to continue well into the morning.

The dead man has not been identified as of 7 a.m. It was not immediately clear how the man died. There was no immediate request from police to seek a hit-and-run vehicle.
