BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A 91-year-old man who police say was driving too quickly in his Lexus ES350 slammed into a Toyota driven by a man from South Hampton New York. The New Yorker sustained only minor injuries, but the 91-year-old man died.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says Ed Kleiner of the 11500 block of Ballylee Terrace in Boytno was traveling westbound on Boynton Beach Boulevard when “he failed to slow for stopped traffic ahead. Therefore, the front of (the Lexus) impacted into the rear of a Toyota 4 Runner.”

According to PBSO, Kleiner was transported to an area hospital for treatment. He was eventually transferred to Hospice where he died on August 18th following the crash which occurred on July 21st near the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Sun Valley Road.
