If you live in a “color” in the east, you may be subject to an evacuation should Tropical Depression 9 truly become a hurricane and threaten from the east. (Palm Beach County).

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — There is absolutely no need to panic about Tropical Depression 9 as of early Friday afternoon, but this is a good time to make sure you know your evacuation zone in Palm Beach County. BocaNewsNow.com is publishing details, below.

The Emergency Operation Center is at level 3 which is monitoring what may be an incoming hurricane. While it’s too early to know exactly what — if anything — the system will do, it’s never too early to make sure your hurricane plan is good to go.

The map, above, is Palm Beach County’s official hurricane evacuation map. We note, however, that it is very “east” focused. Tropical Depression 9 may approach from the west, which means evacuations that are not traditionally ordered could be considered. We will update as Palm Beach County makes announcements over the next few days.

For now, however, use this link to access Palm Beach County’s official “hurricane evacuation zone look up tool.” It will tell you what to do and where to go should there be a true need to move away from an incoming tropical system.

We stress that there is no need to panic. Just make a plan and know what to do should you need to do anything as a result of TD 9.
