DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A possible tornado struck a building in the Flanders section of Kings Point overnight, causing what is being called ‘significant damage.’

The likely tornado ripped through part of a building and destroyed part of a roof. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and Delray Beach Fire Rescue responded to the scene around 10 p.m.

Approximately 30-40 people were evacuated as a result of the incident.

While described as a “tornado” strike by officials, an official “tornado” designation can only be made by National Weather Service weather officials.
