DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A huge alligator swimming in the ocean near the shoreline on the north end of Delray Beach Wednesday morning shocked, stunned, and surprised visitors hoping for a little quiet sand and sun.

Emergency officials including police, lifeguards, and animal control officers trapped the ‘gator and relocated him to a safer environment — presumably the Everglades. We are awaiting official word on the Gator’s new home.

No one was injured. Witnesses tell BocaNewsNow.com that it was “one heck” of an experience to see the Alligator so close to people. We thank the reader who submitted these photos to BocaNewsNow.com.
