BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man identified as an auto salesman at the Coconut Creek Automall is now facing an “obscene communication” charge after the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says that he “used a computer to seduce, solicit, or lure a child online.” The child was an undercover PBSO Detective.
Fernando Ricart, 37, of the 10200 block of Serene Meadows Drive in West Boca Raton was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on October 19th. He was released on October 20th on $25,000 bond.
Due to the extremely graphic nature of the arrest report, we are publishing only a small portion as text in this post, but the entire document appears below. The following section comes from the Detective’s documentation of what she says happened as the investigation into Ricart continued — and he allegedly became increasingly interested in meeting for an inappropriate encounter with the girl who he believed was 15.
“On the morning of October 5, 2022, Ricart asked to video chat stating “Look, I just didn’t want to walk into a trap or anything like that. Since we need to be discreet yeah?” I attempted to call Ricart via Snapchat video chat using a filter. It rang several times and I hung up as soon as he answered. It should be noted Ricart could see me before answering the call. I stated “Ok well u saw me and I haven’t even gotten outta bed yet n no filter lol feel better?” and he responded “Yeah Should I make a stop on the way up? If you want me to have anything handy” I asked “Oh like what?” and he responded “;) If you don’t want to use it we don’t have to Do you want to just stay in your room the whole time?” He asked “Have you been feeling horny” and instructed me to wear a skirt with either a thong or no underwear. At 0849 hours he stated “Also I checked the drive it’s about an hour”.
While an undercover team apparently remained outside Ricart’s home apparently waiting to arrest him if he traveled to meet the girl, he was later arrested for engaging in obscene communication. Read the complete report, below. Again, we warn that it is extremely graphic.
