Several public school buildings are used as voting locations on Election Day, and the school district has long frowned on mixing the general public with students and teachers. As a result, every public school is closed in Palm Beach County on Tuesday.
Schools reopen on Wednesday as the second trimester for students in elementary school gets underway.
Schools then close again for Thanksgiving break which starts on Monday, November 21st and runs through Friday, November 25th.
