PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Palm Beach International Airport is open, despite a message appearing on its website as of 8:30 this morning stating that the airport is closed.

Several flights are canceled or delayed, so we encourage you to check with your airline before heading to the airport for an outbound flight, or meeting someone who you believe is flying in.

An airport spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for clarification as to why the airport’s website was still telling travelers that the airport was closed when, in fact, flights were arriving and departing. It’s unclear how many travelers may have been affected by the misinformation.

As of 9 a.m. Thursday, United, Allegiant, and JetBlue are all showing widespread delays and cancellations. Delta and American Airlines appear to be flying as normal.

Check the PBIA airport departure and arrival boards for realtime information.
