BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man is dead following a collision with a tree.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that Ronald Weindorf of Birchwood Drive was driving northeast on Pheasant Way in Boca Raton around 8:25 p.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, according to PBSO, “Weindorf lost control of the vehicle and veered to the right, into the grass and landscaping. Weindorf collided with a tree and was transported to Delray Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.”
Investigators tell BocaNewsNow.com that Weindorf, 66, was wearing a seatbelt and that alcohol or drugs are NOT a factor. The investigation continues. Records indicate that he formerly taught at Del Prado Elementary School in Boca Raton.
Weindorf was driving a 2018 Acura ILX at the time of the crash.
