Traffic Should Return To Normal After Months Of Massive Delays.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The ongoing traffic delays due to construction on Clint Moore Road between U.S. 441 and the Florida Turnpike overpass should now be a thing of the past. Inspectors signed-off on the work just as Hurricane Nicole was approaching the area. The barricades that were removed for the hurricane will not be returned.
The road widening and maintenance project started several months ago and created logjams during morning and afternoon commutes. The work snarled traffic near Lyons Road, by “The Oaks” on Clint Moore, and several other communities that span that east-west corridor.
Making the situation worse, the ongoing Lyons Road widening project was supposed to be completed well before the Clint Moore work began. As we’ve reported repeatedly, massive construction issues — including workers finding utility lines that were not on maps — delayed the completion of that project until April of 2023. That mean Lyons delays led to Clint Moore delays, making traffic at times akin to something expected in a major city.
Several accidents were reported in the construction zone over the past several months. Workers will return to paint lines and arrows on Clint Moore, but traffic impact should be minimal.
