DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach woman continues to recover from multiple stab wounds allegedly inflicted by 74-year-old Norman Joss. The stabbing occurred in the 1200 block of NW 24th Avenue in the City of Delray Beach.

Joss, according to a just-released police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, started stabbing the victim while she slept. She awoke to find Joss, “holding a knife in his hand standing over her.” She fought him off but was stabbed multiple times in the neck and on the wrist.

“Upon arrival to Delray Medical Center,” documented an investigating officer, “the victim stated she was able to gain control of the knife from Joss. (But) Joss then proceeded to get control of a second knife in which she was stabbed again in the wrist and neck area.”

While the victim was rushed to the Delray Medical Center trauma unit, Joss was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on one count of aggravated battery on a person 65 years of age or older. He was booked into jail at 5:40 a.m. on November 13th. He was released on his own recognizance the following day.

A “no contact” order was issued on November 14th prohibiting Joss from being anywhere near the woman he allegedly stabbed. He is also prohibited from possessing any weapons.
