BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The shooting that left Hollywood resident Vladimir Oviedo incapacitated on Glades Road on December 2nd just led to the arrest of Eddys Faraminan of Miami.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says Faraminan, of 136 NW 202nd Terrace, was taken into custody late last week and charged with premeditated homicide. The announcement of the arrest was just made Monday morning.

Oviedo, driving a canteen truck, had just left a construction site at Boca West when he lost control of the truck and stopped in the area of 7772 Glades Road. He exited the truck and collapsed onto the median, as horrified onlookers called 911. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue rushed to the scene. Oviedo was transferred to Delray Medical Center where he underwent lifesaving procedures. He is expected to survive.

There were no bullet holes found on Oveido’s vehicle. But several investigative leads, surveillance cameras, and facial recognition systems in place within Boca West revealed that Oviedo was allegedly shot by a man who owed him $2, and was upset when Oviedo tried to collect.

We are publishing the entire police report, below. It shows the speed and professionalism in which the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office rushed into action in the minutes after the shooting — and how they arrived at the belief that Eddys Faraminan is the shooter. While the family of victim Vladimir Oviedo invoked “Marsy’s Law” — which prevents police from releasing his name — BocaNewsNow.com obtained the information independently and published it after a request from police to hold the information for 24 hours following the shooting.

Oviedo is expected to make a full recovery, according to those familiar with the case.
