BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Late night drivers in and around Boca Raton may experience delays — again — overnight as Glades Road is again set to close in the area of I-95. Sign installation will continue for the new “diverging diamond” pattern that will confusingly have traffic moving in directions normally reserved for European nations that drive on the other side of the street.

Here is the FDOT information for the Glades Road closures:

Westbound Glades Road Full Nighttime Closure Notice: Westbound Glades Road at I-95 will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 14 for overhead sign installation. Westbound traffic will be detoured via Airport Road, Spanish River Boulevard, Military Trail and Butts Road. Thursday, Dec. 15 will be used as a contingency night if needed.

Eastbound Glades Road Full Nighttime Closure Notice: Eastbound Glades Road at I-95 will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 15 for new overhead sign installation. Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Butts Road, Town Center Road, Military Trail, Palmetto Park Road, and N. Federal Highway.

Reminder: I-95 is also experiencing intermittent overnight closures in the area of Glades Road. Traffic is being pushed off of I-95, routed onto feeder streets, and then returned to the interstate as express lane work continues.
