BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A health inspector with Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation documented a disturbing find at the iPic Theater location in Mizner Park.
The theater, known for an upscale moving-going experience with upscale food was apparently suffering from an infestation of flying insects. According to the inspection report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, the insects were found in multiple places, including in clean glasses. Per BocaNewsNow.com policy, we are publishing the actual language used by the inspector:
“High Priority – Live, small flying insects in kitchen, food preparation area, food storage area and/or bar area. Approximately 15 live flies landing on shelves and bottle of liquor and wine in bar area 5 live flies landing in clean glasses in bar area not in kitchen Approximately 10 live flies landing on walls in front of bar area not in kitchen **Admin Complaint**
The inspection occurred on December 27. A follow-up on December 28th found that iPic had resolved the issue — no problems were found, at all. At no time was iPic’s Boca Raton location ordered to close as a result of the flying insects, but an “administrative complaint” was recommended.
