BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Major road closures are planned — again — for this week in Boca Raton. Final work continues on the “Diverging Diamond” interchange at Glades and I-95, while express lane expansion and enhancement continues on I-95 itself.

The following is the official advisory from the Florida Department of Transportation. Note that bad weather could affect these dates:

Westbound Glades Road Full Nighttime Closure Notice: Westbound Glades Road at I-95 will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday, Jan. 9 and Tuesday, Jan. 10 for overhead sign installation. Westbound traffic will be detoured via Airport Road, Spanish River Boulevard, SR-809/Military Trail and Butts Road. Wednesday, Jan. 11 will be used as contingency if needed.

Eastbound Glades Road Full Nighttime Closure Notice: Eastbound Glades Road at I-95 will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11 and Thursday, Jan. 12 for new overhead sign installation. Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Butts Road, Town Center Road, SR-809/Military Trail, Palmetto Park Road, and US-1/N. Federal Highway.

I-95 Southbound Full Closure Notice: All I-95 southbound lanes at Congress Avenue will be closed to traffic overnight, Wednesday night, Jan. 11 for overhead sign structure installation. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 southbound exit ramp to Peninsula Corp Drive/Congress Avenue, and SR-794/Yamato Road to the I-95 southbound entrance ramp. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists.
