BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man who crossed the U.S./Mexican Border as a child allegedly stabbed and attempted to kill an Autistic Boca Raton man Wednesday evening.

Jesus Alonso Molina Ayala, 21, was arrested and booked into jail early Thursday morning, according to the Boca Raton Police Department. He is known as “Alonso.” Alonso was allegedly seen stabbing an autistic man who lives in the home where he was staying in the 1400 block of NE 15th Terrace. Alonso “came to the United States as a minor approximately six years ago after he crossed the U.S. Mexican border,” stated the arrest report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com.

Alonso, according to the report, was staying with a family in Boca Raton after having problems with his own family in Atlanta, Georgia. The report says the family in Boca Raton — Wednesday night — threatened to send Alonso back to Honduras due to his alleged behavioral issues, drug use, and gang affiliation.

After being told he would be sent to Honduras, “Alonso seemed surprised and mumbled, ‘who said I’m going back to Honduras?” “(The female homeowner) then heard (an Autistic family member) start screaming ‘he is killing me!’ She looked into the living room and observed Alonso standing behind the family member who was sitting on the couch. Alonso was actively stabbing (the family member) with a large kitchen knife that had a black handle and silver blade.”

According to police, “the victim’s injuries included a large sharp force wound to the upper left chest area that required sutures to close, a second sharp force wound near the left nipple and a defensive wound to his right middle finger.”

Alonso fled the home but was almost immediately taken into custody by Boca Raton Police. He is now charged with “attempted second degree murder.”
