BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A police and medic response mid-day Friday to the 12000 block of Boca Reserve Lane — for a shooting — was ultimately deemed to not be criminal activity, according to officials with knowledge of the situation.

One person was found dead at the scene. It is believed the wound was self-inflicted.

Several readers feared a criminal event in the otherwise quiet community which sits south of Palmetto Park Road and west of Judge Winikoff Road. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says there was no criminal activity.

Police and rescuers were called to the scene — in a home — around 2 p.m. Witnesses tell BocaNewsNow.com that they cleared the scene roughly an hour later.
