Delray Beach Eatery Logs Ten Violations, NOT Ordered To Close.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Popular restaurant Vic and Angelo’s at 290 East Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach logged ten violations during a February 2nd inspection by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The restaurant was not ordered to close.

Per BocaNewsNow.com policy, the following is an unedited list of the violations logged by FDBPR:

High Priority – Time/temperature control for safety food, other than whole meat roast, hot held at less than 135 degrees Fahrenheit. At Left countertop (steam table)marinara (127°F – Hot Holding). Operator stated being held 1 hour, moved to stove to be reheated. **Corrective Action Taken** **Warning**

High Priority – Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. At cook line Left side flip top cooler ; cooked mushrooms (46°F – Cold Holding); butter (46°F – Cold Holding). Operator stated not cooked/prepared/portioned today, in flip top cooler less than 4 hours, moved to walk-in cooler. At Cook line pasta lift top; raw salmon (50°F – Cold Holding); raw chicken (50°F – Cold Holding); cooked salmon (53°F – Cold Holding); cooked shrimp (50°F – Cold Holding); roasted garlic (52°F – Cold Holding); pasta (50°F – Cold Holding); cooked potatoes (50°F – Cold Holding). Operator stated items being held in cooler overnight. See Stop **Warning**

High Priority – Stop Sale issued on time/temperature control for safety food due to temperature abuse. Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. At Cook line pasta lift top; raw salmon (50°F – Cold Holding); raw chicken (50°F – Cold Holding); cooked salmon (53°F – Cold Holding); cooked shrimp (50°F – Cold Holding); roasted garlic (52°F – Cold Holding); pasta (50°F – Cold Holding); cooked potatoes (50°F – Cold Holding). High Priority – Raw animal food stored over/not properly separated from ready-to-eat food. At cook line speed rack; raw fish stored over ready-to-eat pasta. Operator moved fish below pasta. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**

High Priority – Raw animal food stored over or with ready-to-eat food in a freezer – not all products commercially packaged. At prep area double door upright stainless freezer; raw beef carpaccio stored over ready-to-eat ice cream. Operator moved ice cream to chest freezer. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**

Intermediate – Chemical test kit not used to ensure proper sanitization of equipment and utensils when using a chemical sanitizer. At dish machine; chlorine sanitizer, no test kit used. **Warning**

Intermediate – Mussels tag removed from original container prior to container being emptied. Operator returned tag to container. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**

Intermediate – No paper towels or mechanical hand drying device provided at handwash sink. At cook line hand wash sink; no paper towels. Operator provided paper towels. **Corrected On-Site** **Repeat Violation** **Warning**

Basic – Commercially processed reduced oxygen packaged fish bearing a label indicating that it is to remain frozen until time of use no longer frozen and not removed from reduced oxygen package. At cook line; commercially processed ROP sea bass labeled to remove from package to thaw, no longer frozen. Operator removed from ROP. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**

Basic – Stored food not covered. At walk-in cooler; marinara and meatballs stored uncovered. Operator covered. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**
