Flying Insects Lead To Forced Closure Of Boca Raton French Restaurant

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A French restaurant in trendy east Boca was ordered closed by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The restaurant was allowed to reopen the following day.

Cote France Cafe at 100 Plaza Real was inspected on February 22nd and immediately ordered to close. A significant number of flying insects were allegedly found, according to an inspection report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com. Per our policy, we are publishing the actual violation as filed with the State of Florida.

“High Priority – Live, small flying insects in kitchen, food preparation area, food storage area and/or bar area. Approximately 5 live flying insects landing on single service item boxes and shelves in kitchen Approximately 10 live flying insects in the floor next to dirty laundry basket in dish area in kitchen Approximately 10 live flying insects on unpeeled onions on dry storage rack in kitchen Approximately 10 live flying insects on ladders stored in dry storage area of kitchen Approximately 10 live flying insects on walls in dining room Approximately 10 live flying insects on power cords of hanging lights over wait station in dining room”

A follow-up inspection on February 23rd yielded no violations and the restaurant was permitted to reopen. Cote France Cafe is registered as “Marybo LLC” with the Florida Secretary of State.
