COMPLETE WEEKEND CLOSURE OF GLADES ROAD AT I-95 SET FOR LATER THIS MONTH.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Florida Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that two major closures will impact traffic in and around Boca Raton over the next few weeks.
We’ve already told you about the Tuesday night closure of I-95 northbound at Glades Road. Here is that alert from FDOT:
“All I-95 northbound lanes at SR-808/Glades Road will be closed to traffic overnight, Tuesday, March 14 through Thursday, March 16 for overhead sign structure installation. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. each morning. Traffic will be detoured via the northbound exit ramp to SR-808/Glades Road, US-1/Federal Highway and SR-794/Yamato Road. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists.”
FDOT is also warning motorists about the COMPLETE, WEEKEND-LONG CLOSURE of Glades Road in the area of I-95 as the diverging diamond is completed. Here is the alert for the Glades Road closures:
Full Closure Advanced Notice: Westbound SR-808/Glades Road at SR-9/I-95 will be closed for implementation of the final configuration of the Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI), 11 p.m., Friday, March 24 through 5 a.m., Monday, March 27. Traffic will be detoured via Airport Road, Spanish River Boulevard, Military Trail and Butts Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists. Traffic will be detoured via Butts Road, Town Center Road, Military Trail, Palmetto Park Road and US-1/N. Federal Highway. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
