BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man was shot Friday evening while driving an SUV on the Florida Turnpike in Boca Raton.
The man, according to sources connected with the investigation, was shot two times in a Dodge Ram. He was transported to Delray Medical Center and was conscious and alert.
It was unclear whether the gunshots were inflicted by someone in the vehicle, a passerby, or before the man entered his vehicle and drove south on the turnpike.
The official scene is mile marker 77.5, which is between Atlantic Avenue and Glades Road. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
