A major crash has closed the intersection of Military Trail and Yamato Road in Boca Raton.

The Boca Raton Police Department tells BocaNewsNow.com that a major crash has closed the intersection. The crash was first reported around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Motorists are being encouraged to use alternate routes. Schools are closed for Spring Break which should make the commute slightly easier, but the intersection is expected to be closed well into the morning.

Check back for updates. It was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved or the extent of injuries — if any.
