BUSTED: Cops Move In As Car Club Takes Over Palm Beach County Intersection

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An intersection takeover was thwarted Friday night as the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office — tipped that the takeover was set — moved in and arrested several of the so-called motorists involved.

PBSO issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com late Saturday afternoon:

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office received information that street car clubs were planning to do an intersection take over at Jupiter Farms/Indiantown Road. PBSO was able to conduct surveillance and take action as soon as the car club took over the intersection at Jupiter Farms Rd / Indiantown Rd.    

Results of OPERATION HOTWHEELS are as follows:

•         Criminal Citations: 3

•         Citations: 45

•         Citation over 30 mph – 1

•         Spectator citations – 18

•         Vehicles Towed: 7 (1 vehicle 30 day hold – 6 vehicles 5 day hold)

•         Felony Arrests: 6

•         Misdemeanor Arrests: 1

•         FIR’s: 5
