BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Century Village Boca Raton resident was jailed late Saturday night by the Boca Raton Police Department. The man, Michael Gegen, was released on his own recognizance just after 5:30 Sunday morning.
While the affidavit of probable cause continues to be processed Sunday morning, jail records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com show that Gegen was arrested for DUI, with the official charge listed as “DUI-Unlawful Blood Alcohol — DUI Influence of Alcohol or Drugs.” It was not immediately clear where he was arrested, or what led police to interact with Gegen.
Gegen lives in the Brighton section of Century Village. He was booked into jail at 11:45 p.m. Saturday. The arrest is among the few over the past two years for Century Village residents. At Kings Point, the other major senior living community in South Palm Beach County, more than 30 residents have been arrested since the start of 2022, with nine arrested since the start of 2022.
