UPDATE @ 6:10 p.m. — Alligator Alley has reopened.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The west bound lanes of Alligator Alley are completely closed due to a fatal tractor trailer crash.

The closure starts at the toll plaza in Broward County and extends back towards the Sawgrass Expressway. The delays are growing.

Motorists are being urged to find alternate routes. The crash is in the area of Alligator Alley and U.S. 27. It was not immediately clear what happened, how many vehicles are involved, or whether the fatality is attributed to the tractor trailer or another vehicle.
