BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Florida Department of Transportation is warning drivers in Boca Raton and Delray Beach that I-95 is set for another round of closures. The closures are several days away, but FDOT wants to encourage motorists to make plans now for the disruption.

According to FDOT: “I-95 Northbound Full Closure Advanced Notice: All I-95 northbound lanes at SR-794/Yamato Road will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday, June 19 for roadway work and a traffic shift to final configuration. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 northbound exit ramp to SR-794/Yamato Road, Congress Avenue, Peninsula Corp Drive, and the I-95 northbound entrance ramp.

The I-95 northbound entrance ramps from Yamato Road and Spanish River Boulevard will also be closed to traffic during this time. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists. Tuesday, June 20 will be used as contingency if needed. Please see detour flyer attached. I-95 Southbound Full Closure Advanced Notice: All I-95 southbound lanes at Linton Boulevard will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Tuesday, June 20 for roadway work and a traffic shift to final configuration.

The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 10 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 11 p.m., reopening by 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 southbound exit ramp to Linton Boulevard, Congress Avenue and Peninsula Corp. Drive to the I-95 southbound entrance ramp. FHP will be onsite to assist motorists. Wednesday, June 21 will be used as a contingency night if needed.”
