Why Are Dog Owners So Rude And Self-Absorbed In Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach? It’s Boca Rudeton For Sunday.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s another week of rude Palm Beach County residents and visitors bringing their dogs where dogs don’t belong. This week’s edition of “Boca Rudeton, Dog Edition” spans from Publix locations to an American Airlines flight to PBI. Fasten your collar: here we go…
We start in the skies over West Palm Beach, where a first class American Airlines passenger didn’t think twice about taking a seat and part of the aisle for her fluffy dog. The dog: cute. But there’s no indication that it has any service function — so it’s unclear why it’s flying in the cabin without a kennel and taking up space traditionally used for humans. We appreciate it’s a flight to PBI so rules don’t apply, but if the plane was going somewhere else…

Next stop: the Publix at 7060 West Palmetto Park Road where our tipster writes: “the Publix employee asked them to keep the dogs outside of the store but they didn’t cooperate, the black dog also peed at the vegetables area and the lady cleaned it up with paper towels… Its so bad seen people not respecting the health codes and the lack of authority the Publix personnel have to enforce these regulations.” We note it is perfectly legal to wear skin-tight pink spandex that reveals the dividing line of one’s rear end.

Onward: the woman above and her dog bargain shopping at Costco. It seems the woman is being walked by the dog. It’s unclear why she needed the dog in the store, but it does seem that she likes to pull things.

Now we move on to Fresh Market. We’re sure that’s not a fake service dog vest on a dog that seems too small to provide any service to anyone. We remind our readers that it’s illegal — according to the Food and Drug Administration — to have a dog in a supermarket unless it’s a trained service dog. Not a made-up ESA wearing a vest purchased from Amazon. Not that this is what you’re seeing above.

In the Publix in Village Square Boca Raton, a shopper apparently felt it was okay to eat food with her dog standing by. Again, dogs are not permitted — per federal law — to be in a supermarket. Publix posts the law at the entrance to each store.

At another Publix in South Palm Beach County, a tipster wants to know why this woman has a dog in the deli. It’s a fair question. We want to know, too. We note that Publix corporate communications has not responded to multiple requests for comment on enforcement of the federal law that it claims to enforce.
We remind our readers that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! Send your submissions to us using the form, below. Boca Rudeton™ is a trademark of MetroDesk Media, LLC.
