BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It is just an area worth watching at this point and nothing more, but the National Hurricane Center Sunday is monitoring what may be a developing tropical system to the east of Florida. There is no concern of anything imminent at this point, and indications are that the system would turn to the north if it actually develops and becomes something.
This is the official advisory from the National Hurricane Center as of Sunday afternoon:
Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 200 PM EDT Sun Jul 9 2023 For the North Atlantic… Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
Central Atlantic: A non-tropical low is expected to form in a couple of days a few hundred miles east-northeast of Bermuda. This system could gradually acquire subtropical characteristics during the middle to latter portions of this week while it drifts southeastward.
By next weekend, the low is expected to turn northward bringing the system over cooler waters and ending its chances of subtropical development.
— Formation chance through 48 hours…low…near 0 percent.
— Formation chance through 7 days…low…30 percent.
