Fire Rescue Rushes To Scene. Victims Found Inside, Outside Home.

UPDATE AT 9:04 a.m. — Two people were transported to an area hospital. Other people affected were treated at the scene.
UPDATE AT 8:09 a.m. — Palm Beach County Fire Rescue tells BocaNewsNow.com that a car may have been left on in the garage of the home, leading to an increased level of carbon monoxide. It does not appear that this was “gas leak” — but the investigation continues.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Several people were rushed to area hospitals and treated for inhalation injuries early Tuesday morning following a gas leak inside of St. Andrews Country Club in West Boca Raton.
Sources connected with the rescue operation report that Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to the scene in the 7900 block of Wellwynd Way in St. Andrews for a report of a gas leak. Rescuers found what we have learned to be a total of three people suffering from inhalation injures. One of the victim was found outside. Two additional were found inside the home at the address.
All of the injured were rushed to area hospitals where they continue to be treated just before 6 a.m. on Tuesday. It was not clear what led to the gas leak, how long the people were inside the home, or how long the exposure to the gas leak continued. BocaNewsNow.com has learned that gas readings in the home were elevated.
The first call for help was received just after 5 a.m. Tuesday morning. Wellwynd Way is in the west side of St. Andrews, near the Florida Turnpike. The is a developing story. Check back for updates throughout the morning.
