BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton is facing multiple charges Thursday morning after allegedly threatening to shoot up Girafa’s Sports Bar on Forest Hill Boulevard in West Palm Beach. The man, Fabio Llano-Sanchez, allegedly entered the bar with a gun, then got into it with the bar’s owner and a security guard.

This is the official narrative of the arrest, filed by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and obtained by BocaNewsNow.com.

“On 7/23/23 at approximately 0206, I responded to 5906 Forest Hill Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33415, in reference to an armed disturbance. It was said that there was an individual with a gun. Upon my arrival, responding deputies put over the radio that the victim pointed out the suspect, later identified as Fabio Llano Sanchez in a black Toyota bearing tag C12WV. I, D/S Harvey 34092 and D/S Martinez 37526 made contact with Sanchez as he was attempting to leave the area. Deputies detained Sanchez on scene and the victim walked over where Sanchez was with deputies and positively identified him as the suspect. I made contact with the owner of the bar. The owner stated Sanchez was told he had to leave the bar due to being too drunk and harassing customers. The owner stated Sanchez then went to his vehicle and came out with his hand in his back.”

“It was stated that Sanchez then took a black firearm out and pointed it directly at the owner while stating “I will shoot you” and said he would also shoot security. The owner stated then Sanchez took off his belt and started hitting him multiple times with the belt which caused injury to the owner’s finger. The owner stated the security guard came outside to help, In which, a physical altercation then began between Sanchez and the guard. The owner stated he was in fear for his life and called 911. I received a sworn recorded verbal statement from the owner regarding the incident that was taken on my BWC. D/S Artola 39052 conducted a sworn verbal statement from the security guard stating the following: he works as security at the business. The male (Sanchez)was told he could no longer drink because he was too drunk and he told him to leave. The male (Sanchez) then stated he would *kill him”.”

“He went outside and put an unknown object in his pocket and approached him again, In which, a physical altercation began. The security guard stated he was punched by Sanchez but did not receive any physical injury. See D/S Artola 39052 supplemental report for further. Based upon my investigation I found probable cause to charge Fabio llano Sanchez with Aggravated Assault WI firearm, as the defendant placed the victim in fear by pointing a handgun at the victim showing the ability, intent to carry out the threat (pursuant with F. S. S 784.012(A), aggravated battery as the defendant used a belt to strike the victim, causing injury to his finger pursuant to F. S. S 784.045(1) and simple battery F. S. S 784.03(1a1).”

Llano-Sanchez, who lists the 800 block of SW 9th Circle in Boca Raton as his home address, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. He is officially charged with one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, one count of aggravated battery “person uses a deadly weapon,” and one count of battery. He was released on $35,000 bond. A court date is pending.
