Not First Time Teacher, Identified As “Satanist,” Claims To Summon Dark Side. Parents Want Students Out Of Public School Classroom.

BY: ANDREW COLTON | Editor and Publisher
UPDATE at 4:14 p.m. with new information from the Palm Beach County School District.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton teacher is again under fire for allegedly telling students that he will “summon Lucifer” to the classroom. The teacher, identified as Preston Smith, is known to many in the School District as a “Satanist.” His story has been covered multiple times before by local media.
According to multiple parents contacting BOCANEWSNOW.com, Smith has again told students at Boca Raton Community Middle School that he will “summon Lucifer” to their classroom. Parents of the students involved say they have asked school officials — and Palm Beach County School District leaders, to have their children moved to other classrooms.
But sources within the Palm Beach County School District say it’s actually a small group of parents who are concerned about the so-called “urban legend” that Mr. Smith is a “Satanist.” It’s a legend that has apparently circulated for years and — even if true — wouldn’t be grounds for dismissal as teachers are free to practice any religion that they choose. Students are also not routinely permitted to move classes until the “eleven day count” which is the day the school district officially records enrollment numbers for the new school year. That will take place next week.
Sources say that parent complaints are important and will be handled following the “eleven day count.” Let us know what you think about a public school teacher claiming to summon “Lucifer.” Use the form, below.

This is disgusting and WPBSD, along with the Superintendent, need to be held responsible. There have been multiple complaints on this teacher and the district has done nothing.
The school should not only be responding and accommodating the parent’s requests, but the district should terminate the teacher for this behavior. Additionally, since the principal is also unresponsive and refusing to accommodate, they too should be held responsible and terminated.
Enough is enough. Our children deserve better than this!-
If the teacher said he would summon Jesus to the classroom would these parents be outraged? Most certainly not.
-
Thank you for saying that! My son had this teacher last year and he was great…he was involved and engaged with the children’s education and concerned for their mental health and emotional well-being. People need to chill out and pay attention to the stuff that matters!
-
All schools need Jesus. But to say to children
he is going to summon satan, that’s outrageous. Jesus is peace Saran is evil. The
parents have a right to be outraged

Keep voting Democrat you fools.

DeSantis is neglecting public schools. He is pushing for online schools and learning pods for the rich who can pay for childcare. I’m screwed.

This teacher needs to be removed immediately and all personnel who are not acting on this. This is satanic and dangerous!!
-
It’s no different than if a teacher were to say that they were going to speak to their God. For those people that want religion in school, you have to put up with Satanism just as much as Christianity. That said, the teacher shouldn’t discuss his religion in school either. Not because it’s dangerous (that’s silly) but because of the separation of church and state that we abide to in America.
-
Seconded Erwin! Keep religion in all forms out of school!
Sidenote… Are parents seriously worried Satan is going to show up at Boca Raton Middle? Is he coming with Bloody Mary and Bigfoot to hand out evil math tests? Don’t we have more to worry about in life than this ridiculous nonsense?
-
Have you read the Satanic bible? Or any of the teachings and rituals Lavey set forth? I have.
If you had, you would understand that some are not your garden variety satanist, but are truly sadistic and subversive- self worshiping zealots. Zero morality in your own time is one thing, but if you hold power over children in any way- you are a danger. Period. -
I will pray for you
-
Mary, I’ve read the Satanic Bible, and at no point does it encourage sadistic behaviour. Self-worshipping, fair enough, but we have perfectly enough morality without needing commandments to tell us what to do. That’s the problem with so many Christians, they misquote the text that they’re using for evidence in order to further their fallacies, even when it comes to their own religious texts! It’s fascinating that there is no direct quote from the teacher in question in this piece, and whether they intend to summon Lucifer or not. My guess is that it was a throwaway comment to illuminate just how religiously intolerant people are, saying that it’s perfectly fine to say you’re going to pray to your god, but not if you say you’re going to summon Lucifer, which has now made the news, and is being commented on by people like you who take a third hand story literally, and use it to attack another religion without justification, which perfectly illustrates the original point.

Sounds good to me. It would probably help a lot in maintaining discipline in the classroom. Seriously, compared to the offensive new laws regulating what can and cannot be taught… this is minor. It is highly unlikely that this teacher can actually summon Lucifer to his classroom, but teachers are actually being forced to teach lies and alter history

*STANDING OVATION!*

As if masochistic historical revisionism, designed by Marxists to turn the United States into the closest thing to hell, has nothing to do with the new reactionary laws.
Between trying to send political opponents to prison, the Fraudulent Bureau of Instigation really has their hands full with these outraged parents when they show up to school board meetings.
-
Buster – What “reactionary laws” are you referring to ? The ones that DeNazi and the Florida GOP passed, perhaps ?
Like the ones that legally allow class discrimination and incite hate and shame against non-heterosexuals in Florida, while denying the horror of slavery, restricting free speech, and permits dangerous, radical far-right Republican conservative classroom instructional materials, which are solely designed to indoctrinate our children, and promote religion and fascism ?

Is Mary describing the teacher or our former president?

I have a child in Verde elementary and this teacher should be figured immediately!!
The Devil is against normal ! He wants chaos and evil things to happen to people! God threw him out of heaven and made him be on the fringes of the world! He was made horribly ugly whereas he once the most beautiful Angel ! Teaches like this want to take young people to hell with him!!-
Randall, who is to say what is normal? Your normal may not be my normal.
-
Society has for years decided what is normal. Normal is the norms to which most people adhere-not an individuals choice. Is it normal for a woman to enter a men’s room or go topless in public even if she is a nudist?
-
-
Amen, if it came out of his mouth he meant it.
Yes Lucifer was a beautiful angel until he was thrown from heaven like lightening. This teacher
needs to be sat down.
-
-
Between this and the other male teacher who takes pictures of his “hot students” – I am so glad my child is out of that school.
-
This teacher should be given a medal. Hey, dear christians crying about it – it is called FREEDOM OF RELIGION. It goes all ways. You have no problem when a “christian” teacher invokes god, prays in front of the students, etc. Well, it is either all or none. Period. Now, some muslim teachers need to invoke allah. Some Vikings need to invoke Odin. Some Witch needs to summon Freya, etc.
-
Sad as this is, folks can’t have it both ways! That’s why we need to keep all religions out of our schools & just teach the three R’s. And stop rewriting our history because now, some folks seem to be afraid of the truth. I don’t agree with what this teacher has done, but it’s still his right in America to do this. I’m totally sure if the school came down on christmas decorations, most of you folks would be raising holy hell! Point is, you can’t have it both ways. Keep religion out of our schools & let folks get their kids religious training at their places of worship. Our kids will be better off & better educated to take on the world as they are our future!
-
Sandy – Most sane Americans agree with you. So do I.
Keep all “gods” and religions out of our schools and government –
Which is *exactly* the way our Founding Fathers intended :
SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE – ALWAYS.

A friend of the devil is a friend of mine

Great quote!

You can borrow from the devil or you borrow from a friend.
The devil will give 20 when your friend got only 10

What do you expect from public school? They have a billion dollar budget they pay the teachers peanuts. The kids don’t learn how to manage money or how to make it. So the teachers are calling for the devil what a surprise. Close the schools the ones that want to learn go to private schools the ones that don’t go to trade schools. Paying a billion a year for the kids to be wharhoused 7 hours day to learn about the devil is a waste of our money.
-
Isn’t this the same teacher that put up that pentagram in downtown Boca a few years ago??? Scumbag Alert!!!
-
Yes. I have a child that attended when he was fighting the school board from being fired for such behaviors. The kids say he has a pentagram tattoo (I think ankle) and he has identified as a Satanist multiple times through freedom of religion claims on media outlets over the years. Yes-he put a pentagram on display next to a Christmas tree. He fights for the right to worship evil. In America he has that right, but Parents also have rights to keep a teacher from indoctrinating darkness and inciting fear to young, impressionable students. He is a negative distraction to say the least. Children need to be focused on learning, not an attention needy teacher who should not be touting any religion in the classroom.
-
Tommy – So you are now classifying anyone (including church clergy) who puts up any religious displays as “scumbags” ?
Seriously ?
-
-
If you want to bring your religion into the schools, then you have to accept any religion in the schools. I think we should keep to the separation of religion and any form of government.
-
Please calm down there is no god and there is no devil so relax….fiction, like the new curriculum
-
-
So, If I understand correctly, Christianity, Judaism “good and allowed”. Satanism “bad and not acceptable”. Who decides this stuff? We supposedly live in a society where people are free to worship however they chose. Why are different rules being applied to this teacher? He is clearly making a statement which, if I’m going to be completely objective here, may not be appropriate in the school setting. This is what needs to be looked at, not his belief system.
-
My son had Mr.Smith2 years ago. The rumors were around then too. My son said that he never, ever spoke of his religion in school. I understand the concern. I was concerned at first too. But I am telling you that he was totally professional and a really good teacher. If he did say this to the kids, then yeah, he should be disciplined. But I find it hard to believe since he knows he is to keep his religious beliefs to himself. He has been under this scrutiny for years…and every year, the story pops back up again. My advice to parents is to relax. Believe me, I would never tolerate any kind of religion being forced in my child. But He is a really good teacher and cares about his students doing well in his class. It honestly wasn’t a problem.
-
It truly saddens me how many lost souls there are in these comments, let alone the world. I feel sorry for the kids today. They are really the one’s getting screwed over by adults with their agendas.
-
I agree with you!
-
-
Remember that people voted for the people who allow alow this. There’s an elected school board also that is supposed to be aware of things like this and respond to parents concerns(good or bad), but is either too busy figuring out what kind of catered food to bring to meetings, or as usual mum on most matters concerning parents input or knowledge. Keep it up, and you will see the most non functional generation in the modern world.
-
Why can’t teachers keep their personal beliefs, ideas and ideologies out of school? Is it too hard for them to just teach the subject they were hired to??
-
A lot of you fools will equate Satanism with Christianity and it’s such a weak and sad argument. This country was built on Christianity and we have for hundreds of years grown to a strong nation as a Christian country. Jesus Christ is the epitome of good while Satan is the epitome of evil. Why try to protect something wicked and say it’s okay to expose that to children – like these sexed-up drag queens – sick! Is this so-called satanist gay? Because you know if he were a straight white male he’d have been fired already.
-
Luke –
Our great country was founded by Patriot Warriors and Politicians, not Christian Hypocrites.
Make no mistake.
And while Christianity continues its rapid decline and decent towards death in the United States, the population of non-religious “Nones” continues to grow rapidly every single year, and will soon swell in size to include over *half of all Americans* within the next few decades, according to a new Pew Research Center study.
