Crash On Lyons Road Near Venetian Isles Blvd.

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An 82-year-old woman driving a 2013 Lexus slammed into an 87-year-old man driving a 2002 Honda CRV. Three weeks after the crash on July 31, 2023, the man died at an area hospital.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Sandy Cohen of the 8300 block of Grand Messina Circle in Boynton Beach was driving south on Lyons Road and trying to turn left onto Venetian Isles Boulevard when she failed to yield to Austin Granat who was driving northbound on Lyons.
Police say Cohen turned into Granat’s path, striking the front of the car which led it to swing around and hit it again in the rear.
Austin Granat was critically injured and pronounced dead on August 20th, 2023. Pearl Granat, also in the vehicle, sustained serious injuries. No charges have been filed as of August 22, 2023. Sandy Cohen also sustained serious injuries in the wreck.
